AKC Farm Dog Certification Test

May 1, 2021 Two tests on one day

Open to all breeds of dogs, this test involves your dog performing a series of 12 exercises that are typical for a farm environment such as being in close proximity to livestock (who are always penned to avoid any altercations); jumping and staying on hay/straw bales; walking on unusual terrain; and jumping over logs. There is no herding involved. Instead, the goal is to assess his aptitude as a working farm dog by exhibiting self-control, confidence and trust with you or his handler.

Day-of entries accepted!

Premium available here.

AKC Fit Dog - Level One

Our Canine Partners recognize similar health benefits and wellness benefits when engaging in a fitness plan as we humans do. Some of these benefits are increased strength, cardiovascular health, flexibility, balance, and coordination. These benefits also result in reduced risk of injury for canine athletes. We know that increased metal and physical stimulation also helps with behavior wellness. Fitness programs can reduce boredom, increase confidence and help eliminate problem behaviors.

The AKC Fitness Level One course is designed to teach foundational skills for a fitness program. It is important to note that this course does not address any physical therapy or rehabilitation cases. This course is for healthy dogs.  Puppies and obese dogs must be evaluated for participation.

This is a six week course which helps the owner have a better perspective on Canine Fitness.

Cost of class is $125.00 which will include some equipment. Contact Donna at
